Originally published in 1937-38 in 2 parts and now combined into one book.

This bakhar of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is in the manuscripts department of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) in Paris. This bakhar was probably written around 1750 and may have been the forerunner of all the 91 kalami bakhars known today.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s reign and the beginning of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s reign are the main topics handled in this Bakhar. The conversation between Shivaji Maharaj and his wife Saibai, who were present at Pratapgad during Afzal Khan Incidence. This Bakhar also gives the list of the various things on Raigad, which Sambhaji Maharaj took the possession when he came to Raigad after death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. During this time the Marathas confiscated huge bells from the Portuguese churches. They were mesmerized by the huge size and melodious sound of these bells. Later, the Marathas offered these bells to the temples of their favourite deities, as war trophies.
