Eran Ek Sanskrutik Warsa – एरण एक सांस्कृतिक वारसा

The ancient city of Eran in Madhya Pradesh has a rich historical and cultural heritage. Evidence of Neolithic, Kayatha and Copper Age, Harappan Civilization, Maurya, Shunga, Satavahana, Shaka, Naga, Gupta, Hun, Gurjar-Pratihara, Parmar, Chandel, Kalachuri dynasties can be found in Eran.
The city of Eran, which gained importance from the Copper Age, was a royal center during the golden age of the Gupta dynasty. Eran has a huge Vishnu idol, Varaha idol and Garudastambha built during the Gupta period.
